Ganh Da Dia Retreat Hotel has 21 rooms and stands at the gate of the Ganh Da Dia national monument, in Phu Hanh hamlet, Tuy An Dong commune, on Vietnam's south-central coast. Walk 800 metres from the front door and you are on the rock formation. Walk 100 metres the other way and you are on the fishing-village beach.

Ganh Da Dia is a field of interlocking basalt columns on the shoreline — hexagonal stone discs packed edge to edge, formed by cooling lava. Vietnam has one; Northern Ireland has the Giant's Causeway. It is the reason people come to this stretch of coast.

Most visitors base themselves in Tuy Hoa, 35 km away, and drive 45 minutes each way. They arrive at nine or ten in the morning, at the same time as everyone else, in full sun. Staying here changes the arithmetic: sunrise over the rock formation is something you walk to before breakfast.

We do not run an airport shuttle. Reception will give you local taxi and car-service numbers to call yourself — the road from Tuy Hoa airport runs along Highway 1A, then turns onto the coastal route, about an hour.

What is here

21 rooms in 6 categories, all 45 m². The categories differ in view and bed count, not in fittings — every room has air conditioning, a TV, a fridge, a kettle, a safe, a hairdryer, a desk, toiletries, a private bathroom with hot shower, and its own balcony.

• Sea view — Double and Family. Windows and balcony face the rock formation and the open water.
• Hill view — Double and Family. Large windows; this is the sunset side.
• Pool view and Garden view — Double rooms, set further in, quieter.

A Double has one 1.6 m × 2 m bed and takes 2 adults and 1 child. A Family has two beds of the same size and takes 4 adults and 2 children. A child here means under 12; from 12 up counts as an adult. The pool follows hotel hours and closes by 20:00 at the latest. It is not available between 20:00 and 05:00.

The rooftop Bar & Lounge is open 06:00–22:30, the same hours as the hotel. Drinks and short-order food: iced milk coffee 19,000đ, palm-seed yoghurt 30,000đ, peach tea 25,000đ, instant noodles with egg 25,000đ, beer 23,000–30,000đ. A lift serves every floor, including for wheelchair users and anyone with heavy luggage.

How we run

Check-in 14:00–20:00. Check-out 06:00–12:00. Early check-in and late check-out are charged by the hour — tell reception in advance so the room is held.

The desk is staffed 06:00–22:30. Outside those hours someone is always on night duty, so a delayed flight or a slow drive does not leave you locked out. It is the question guests ask most often about rural stays, and the answer here is yes.

Rates exclude VAT and exclude breakfast. There is no fixed breakfast buffet; the rooftop kitchen takes orders from 06:00. Children under 5 stay free with their parents.

Groups and whole-hotel bookings: contact reception directly — the website does not handle them.

Booking direct

Booking on this site books the hotel itself. No agency sits in between, so no commission is priced in.

The flow is short: pick your dates and room type, fill in your details, and pay a 70% deposit through the VietQR code shown on screen. Once the transfer lands, the system confirms it and emails you — no screenshots to send, no waiting for a call back.

The balance is paid at the hotel on arrival.

Two things to know before you book:

• Rooms are held for 15 minutes. After that the room reopens to other guests. Money arriving later is still credited, but the room may be gone.
• Web bookings are non-refundable and non-cancellable. That is the trade for the direct rate. If you need flexible dates, call reception instead of booking online.

Payment is by domestic Vietnamese bank transfer via VietQR only. International cards are not accepted — if you are coming from abroad without a Vietnamese bank account, call or message us and we will arrange the booking another way. No VAT invoices are issued.

Frequently asked questions

How far is the hotel from Ganh Da Dia? 800 metres, 2–3 minutes. You can walk it or ride it — the hotel sits on the village road that runs straight to the site entrance. The nearest beach is closer still, at 100 metres.

How many rooms are there, and what types? 21 rooms in 6 categories: Sea View Double, Sea View Family, Hill View Double, Hill View Family, Pool View Double, Garden View Double. All are 45 m² with identical fittings; only the view and the number of beds change.

Can I check in after 22:30? Yes. The desk closes at 22:30 but night staff are always on duty. Send us your estimated arrival time so your key is ready.

Is breakfast included? No. Rates exclude both VAT and breakfast. The rooftop Bar & Lounge serves short-order food from 06:00 to 22:30, charged per item.

Can I cancel a web booking? No. Web bookings are non-refundable and non-cancellable — that is the condition attached to the direct rate. For flexible dates, call reception on +84 962 754 448.

Can I pay with an international card? No. Payment is by Vietnamese domestic bank transfer through VietQR. Guests without a Vietnamese account should contact us directly and we will arrange it.
